A Kurdistan Region delegation, headed by Kurdistan Regional Government Spokesman, Minister Safeen Dizayee, on Sunday met French President François Hollande at Elysée Palace.
In an official statement the office of Kurdistan Region’s Cabinet of Ministers condemns efforts to create turmoil in Baghdad and stands by the peaceful demands of the Iraqi people in a civilized and nonviolent manner and without any attacks on government institutions.
Lieutenant-General Beckett stressed the need of closer cooperation among all parties involved in the fight against the so called Islamic State terrorist organization, ISIS, particularly in the anticipated operation to liberate the city of Mosul.
The Kurdistan Regional Government released a statement on the 100th anniversary of Sykes-Picot, an agreement in which the rights of many people in the region were violated, and their will and aspirations were ignored.
The Iranian delegation stated that Iran has always considered the Kurdistan Region as a friendly neighbour and a factor of stability in the region.
